Jim Abbott Speaks To Independence First
In his half season with the '99 Brewers, I came away thinking Jim Abbott is more than a pitcher with a so-called disability. He's a wonderful human being.
Abbbott was born without a right hand, yet still made the major leagues, won a Gold Medal, and pitched a no-hitter. Now after baseball, Abbott continues to inspire those around him...even though he says he's inspired by others who helped him along the way.
Abbott was recently in town speaking at the Independence First Power Lunch. Click on the video link, and you'll be as impressed as I was watching Abbott talk about how he overcame the odds.
