Big up's and a shout out to the Kenosha Komets, the Wisconsin State Youth Hockey Tournament Bantam State Champions!
The team of boys ages 13-14 went 37-4-3 on the season, winning the title 5-2 over Middleton when 3 3rd period goals broke a 2-all tie.
The Komets consist of Front Row: Nick Robertson, Aaron Buban, Brandon Warned, Brandon Sweir, Chad Battisfore, Sam Skalbeck and Ben Edwards.
Middle Row: Eric Boesch and Joseph Ellis
Back Row: Austin Zupec, Tyler Daavettila, Alex Vogel, Matt Ross, Sam Lascola, Steven Lascola and Sean Delaney.
The Coaches were Coach Skalbeck, Coach Bubin and Coach Daavettila.
The Komets often times played teams that were levels above them, and still won. They had back to back games, sometimes on the the ice 5 times a week and never complained. Congrats to the Komets...they are the champs!
