Lance Allan: Sports Glance with Lance
Bob Costas Not a Braun Fan
Strong Words Against Brewers Slugger
On ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning Show, NBC Broadcaster Bob Costas didn't mince any words when asked about the latest Ryan Braun allegations of involving a Florida clinic involved with PED's.
Costas says "let's be honest...we know that last year, Ryan Braun, despite the fact that he's a very popular player. good in the community, beloved in the clubhouse, all that stuff. we know that he got off on a technicality. the samples were sealed. what kind of brilliant rogue chemist, could have unsealed the samples, and then perfectly matched the A sample to the B sample. then re-sealed them, undetectably. and would have had a motive to do it, to Ryan Braun, one of the game's most popular players, and then put himself in line for a felony change if he was discovered having done such a thing. He got off last year on a technicality.
Costas continued.
"Anthony Bosch is not a doctor...think about this. I'm sure that this point has been made by you and others on your program. We're talking about world class athletes. Who have access to the finest training facilities, the finest in nutrition. Whatever the cutting edge legitimate technology or medical knowledge is. If you get hurt, you go to Dr. James Andrews. You go to Dr. Frank Jobe, whoever the best is. And yet athlete after athlete, is consulting with somebody who operates out of a strip mall in Penascola? Some shady character, whose previous thing was running some pyramid scheme, someplace?
What in the world are you doing in contact with the likes of Anthony Bosch? it just seems nefarious."
