How can a place challenge you to the core of your golf existence, yet take your breath away at the same time?
Wild Rock at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells is that such place.
The redesigned course re-opened in May 2008, and has matured into one of the better courses in Central Wisconsin during its 5th anniversary season.
It's challenging because you have to carry at least three deep ravines with shots around 200 yards, but then when you turn around, you can see for 20 miles around.
The course is in great shape, and as the colors turn, it should look spectacular this fall.
As a last hurrah before school started, we took the family to the Dells, and I took on Wild Rock. I suggest you take the same challenge.
