Driver: "Packer For Life"

Agent Confirms Driver Agrees to Terms

  • Print

In recent weeks, it just seemed more and more likely that Donald Driver would remain with the Packers.

Now, we have that confirmation.

After Driver tweeted "Tweeps, when I said I will be a Packer for life, it is now true.  Packer for life."

Driver's agent Jordan Woy later confirmed in an e-mail, saying "We have agreed to terms with the Packers but need to review it tomorrow to finalize."

It's the restructured deal that the Packers offered Driver and Woy last week, but terms not available at this point.

And Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee reports that Driver is expected at Wednesday's OTA session, and will likely address the media at that point.

But what now?  Where does this leave Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel?  Could James Jones get traded down the road?  GM Ted Thompson rarely trades right away, even in a position deep and loaded with talent.

Of course nearly everyone wants Driver back, but what do you do?  Let it play out in training camp, and make a trade when final rosters need to be set?  What do you do with the young guys, fearing that if you try to stash them on the practice squad they'll get snapped up on someone's active roster?
