The early strike came in Beverly Hills Thursday night between Wisconsin and Oregon.
The Badgers won Lawry's The Prime Rib Beef Bowl, polishing off 723 pounds of beef to the Ducks 612. Left guard Travis Frederick wanted to beat his unofficial record of 7 plates before he was cut off last year, there's not a plate count but I'm told the buses were loading while he was still eating!
The good news is that 80 percent of the time, the team that wins the Beef Bowl, wins the game. And last year TCU edged UW by 20 pounds, and then edged them in Pasadena. So things are already looking better for Badgers fans!
