Clearly the Brewers are targeting shortstops at this point, so who do you go with?
GM Doug Melvin says the momentum has stalled for Jose Reyes, after one call. Would you top the Marlins offer for $90 million for his services?
Would you pay out less money, but take equal injury risks on either Rafael Furcal or Jimmy Rollins? Would you pay less and get Clint Barmes to fortify your defense? I think Furcal is the safer choice, but I'll admit I've always liked Rollins. Barmes would be more for defense than anything else.
And now, how does the rivalry with the Cubs and Cardinals change with two likeable ex-Brewers, Dale Sveum and Mike Matheny, taking over for arch rivals?
