Brewers, Badgers, Packers...it's all on the docket this weekend. So let's start with the team that kicks it all off, the Brewers.
They are better equipped for the postseason this time around. I was in Philly 3 years ago. The white rally towels were waving, and the pucker factor set in.
That won't happen this time against the Diamondbacks. The Brewers are incredible at home. Yovani Gallardo is 25, not 22...and not coming off a knee injury. I am worried about a slow start, and while a lead for the Brewers is almost a lock, Arizona also leads the majors in 46 comeback victories.
I'll still lean toward Brewers in 4.
As for the Badgers, I'm concerned about their defensive line and losing David Gilbert to a foot injury. But I also think Wisconsin hasn't fully unwrapped what LB's Chris Borland and Mike Taylor can bring to the table. Nebraska's Taylor Martinez can't throw consistent outs, isn't accurate deep, and if the Badgers can get after him, the Badgers offense should carve up the Huskers. Let's go 34-24 Wisconsin.
And the Packers? They'll rest Ryan Grant and Bryan Bulaga. And fight a Broncos team that's been within 4 points of their opponents, win or lose. And not win pretty, but just win. 34-20 Pack.
