Packers-Bears Postgame
Including Something That Hasn't Happened In 55 Years
Sure, a large portion of the Packers 27-17 victory is owed to Jermichael Finley's career high 3 TD's.
But give credit to the defense, and maybe a little bit to Bears offensive coordinator genius Mike Martz, for limiting Chicago to 13 rushing yards. The least amount on the ground since a 12 yard game in 1956. That's more than 5 decades, or 55 years since that happened.
Who also knew Finley had a ghost tweeter? At 6:08, this tweet came from the @JermichaelF88 account: apparently the @NFLONFOX crew has not seen me live. Everyone needs a job, mine is proving people wrong. YOTTO
The tweet was soon deleted, but followed up by J Mike himself after the game: 1 day I'm going to let u all know who drops some occasional knowledge on my account. Only as strong as your weakest link!
Man, that's better than most news teases!
I did like the fact that Aaron Rodgers used his postgame podium pulpit to tweak Finley, saying "when he studies the game plan a little more, he'll really be dangerous." Ouch!
Rodgers other most interesting statement came when asked about the late game punt return TD nullified by penalty. The Packers Quarterback said in all his years of football, that is the most incredible play he's ever seen.
By the way, it's just the second time Mike McCarthy has started 3-0. His best start in 2007, when the Pack began 4-0.
