And the Packers Pick...
If They Stay at 32, and That's an If

You wouldn't think being the Super Bowl champion, and picking at the end of the line...would be a positive.
But it is with the draft guru at the controls for the Pack. To replace age or depth, Ted Thompson might be looking at Mississippi State Offensive Lineman Derek Sherrod. Earlier in the week, I told Gary Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times that he would be my pick at 32...and since the Professor Jeff Falconio reminded me that I had Bryan Bulaga until I chickened out at the last second.
Kids, remember your multiple choice tests in school. Never switch your first gut hunch!
It's not a given the Packers find another rush linebacker to compliment Clay Matthews. Would they take a chance on character risk Justin Houston? Is Akeem Ayers the guy? Would they trade down, and take Brooks Reed, who the Packers view as much as a defensive end as a linebacker.
The Packers could also take their future replacement for Charles Woodson at cornerback.
It seems unlikely, but the Packers could watch running back Mark Ingram fall to them, just like value pick Aaron Rodgers did in 2005.
And the most likely scenario, in my opinion, is if the Packers GM trades out of the first round...and takes a need for a return specialist in Kentucky's Randall Cobb.
