It's Only One Brewers Game
But Are These the Issues To Be Concerned About?

The Brewers can hit. They led all the majors at spring training by batting .321...and extended that into the regular season by becoming the first team in 42 years to lead off an Opening Day game with back to back homers.
They have better starting pitching. Yovani Gallardo is a holdover, but he set the tone with an ERA around 2 during the preseason...and then only allowed 2 runs, enough to win the Brewers first game.
But pro scouts have said if anything holds back the Brewers, it will be the bullpen, and defense.
John Axford's act the most noticeable...but Kameron Loe also gave up a home run. And Casey McGehee is average defensively at third, but missing Brandon Phillips on the tag and throwing late to first, another costly mistake.
So Brewers fans...is this just a first game work out the bugs thing, or a small sample of a big problem all season long? I'd love to react to your emails at lallan@todaystmj4.com
