Jaxson Hinkens and His Link To Scott Tolzien
One of my favorite stories from the Rose Bowl, has to be this one.
Badgers fans are loyal, knowledgeable, travel well, and are among the small fraction of the best anywhere. Witnessing two UW fans go up to TCU Head Coach Gary Patterson after the Rose Bowl and shake his hand for a job well done, confirmed that to me.
But we found the Badgers #1 fan. Seven year old Jaxson Hinkens of Appleton, came to UW hospital with stage 4 cancer. Along the way, he struck up a lasting friendship with QB Scott Tolzien and DE J.J. Watt, came onto the practice field during an emotional moment, and beat the disease that affected his body.
