Packers Destruction of Dallas
Bye To Cowboys, And Here Comes the Bye
How bad is it to be a member of the Cowboys organization?
One person told some of the rest of us in the press box, that a friend of his texted him to ask if the view at Lambeau was as bad as on his TV. He said worse. Even 3 weeks ago...this person was bewildered by all of the bad play and bad decisions. Now apathy has set in.
But credit the Packers for not allowing a terrible team like this, to stick around and think they can play. The 28 points the Pack put down, put a boot on the Cowboys throat...and the 4 TD's, the most in one quarter since 1992 vs. the then LA Rams.
After a season filled with spotty 3rd down production, the Packers seemed to convert them all. And nearly did, going 7-8 in the first half and 10-15 overall.
The 25th run defense in the league only allowed 5 yards on the ground until late, and 39 yards overall.
And nearly every category was 2 to 1 in favor of the Pack. First downs. Total yards. And basically time of possession until the last few minutes.
Overall, the Packers now 12-5 in the game going into the bye week over the last 17 years. And now they're feeling so much better about their chances in a wide open NFC.
