If this was a fantasy football lineup, I don't think I made it under the Noon kickoff deadline...but here goes nothing anyway.
Quite frankly, one matchup doesn't bode well for the the Packers. And that's the 2nd ranked rushing offense, with LaDanian Tomlinson and Shonne Greene churning up 159 yards per game, against the league's 23rd ranked run defense. And I really like what I see out of 7th round rookie C.J. Wilson, but he and Jarius Wynn can't consistently replaced the inactive Ryan Pickett today.
Plus the pride of Flambeau High, former Badger Jim Leonhard circled this game on his calender...a Wisconsin kid who wanted to sign with the Packers as a free agent, and the calls from the agent of the undersized safety and punt returner weren't returned by GM Ted Thompson.
You think they could use him now? Especially on special teams?
Coming off a bye week, eventually New York wears the Packers down...and the Jets prevail 27-20. But if they do win, it's very impressive to beat Super Bowl contenders in back to back weeks. Just like last year, starting at .500 after a bad loss, bouncing back against a potential Super Bowl team, and then roaring to the finish line. A win today in NYC...and watch out in a wide open NFC.
