Jim Taylor has a new book out entitled "The Fire Within." And I tell you what, the few times I've met the Packers sledgehammer of a running back, the fire still burns.
He's still in great shape...and loves to brag about how good he was on the Superstars Competition, and he's so competitive...he even shows pride when talking about winning a snoring contest at the Super Bowl!
But of course, the conversation always turns to Taylor's run with the Glory Year Packers. Many forget he played on the worst Packers team ever (the 1-10-1 Scooter McLean squad) before winning with Lombardi. And many forget, he was traded to the Saints after the first Super Bowl in a contract dispute with Vince, and watched from New Orleans as the Packers won their 5th and final championship under Lombardi.
