Melodie Wilson's Life Lesson

  • Print
It's been said that life is not what you take but what you leave behind. Former TMJ4 anchor Melodie Wilson leaves a lot as she battles for survival. If you saw Mike Jacob's piece last night, you know this is a rough time for her and her family. But amazingly, Melodie gathered enough strength to remind us all to help stop breast cancer. I found one of the most touching parts of the Mike's report was the picture of her family and her beautiful children. They gathered around Melodie smiling, filled with love. They clearly want her to feel as much joy as possible. How moving, how impressive. Having interviewed Melodie a number of times, she always showed strength even I knew it was hard. But these days it's almost impossible. But Melodie Wilson gives us all a reason to reflect about our own mortality, and our legacy to humanity. Seeing Melodie's brave struggle says so much about her character. Even as breast cancer robs her of life, she's a poignant reminder, that even in the darkest of times, beautiful souls can find a way to light other lives. Melodie Wilson has done just that. God Bless You Melodie. Our hearts and our prayers are with you.
