Wisconsin Coalition of Asian Indian Organizations
One of the best parts about my job is discovering the wonderful organizations that do a lot to help others, but do not always get accolades.
Coming up this Monday, you are going to find out about the Wisconsin Coalition of Asian Indian Organizations. It's a group with more than 3,000 members committed to giving back. In fact, over the past decade, members have donated more than $1 million to the Milwaukee area.
Coming up Monday, June 6, at 5 p.m. in Positively Milwaukee, you will find out how the group is joining forces with the Milwaukee Police Department to help needy children.
A quote prominently featured on the WCAIO website is by Mohandas Gandhi. It reads, "A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people." After meeting with President Kamal Shah and other officers today, it's clear they take that quote seriously.
