Japan Relief From TMJ4 Viewers
You get the Red Cross involved. That's what happened when Today'sTMJ4 teamed up with the American Red of Southeastern Wisconsin. The goal? Help victims of the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. We asked for donations from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and our viewers opened their wallets and their hearts. 51 thousand dollars was pledged to help the earthquake ravaged country. Patty Flowers, Regional CEO of the American Red Cross of Southeastern Wisconsin notes, "Ninety-one cents on every dollar that's donated to the disaster goes to feed, shelter, and clothe people."
Let's face it. That is a phenomenal rate of return. When people donate to the Red Cross, they can be confident that their dollars are getting to the people who need it the most.
There's been a lot of bickering this past few weeks over the division caused by the Governor Walker's Budget Bill. But no matter how deep our divides, one thing is for certain. When people are suffering anywhere around the world, TMJ4 viewers respond. That is Positively Milwaukee!!! Thanks to all of you and your big hearts
