The Packers are in the Super Bowl for the 1st time in 13 years, and that means, as one viewer tells me, "People just seem happier." You've seen the smiles and high fives. Folks are walking around like they have something to look forward to. And Packers fans are proudly sporting their NFC Championship shirts, hats, and anything green and gold.
You may find this strange, but many of us here in the newsroom, have noticed less scanner traffic for violent crimes. Maybe it's just a fluke, but it does seem as if there have been fewer homicides. We have no scientific proof. Maybe it just seems that way in Packerland because life is good.
It's even sweeter knowing, we are not Bears fans.
