  • Winter Storm Warning

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for rain showers changing to snow this afternoon with highs near 40. All of SE Wisconsin is under a Winter Storm Warning through the evening...its the first warning of the winter season. The snow will begin to fall after 3pm and will be heavy at times during the evening commute with low visibility and rapid accumulation. The Milwaukee area will receive a quick 2-4" of snow by 7pm and the winds will be gusting to 35 mph. The snow will not be blowing and drifting because this will be very heavy, wet snow. The snow will continue until midnight with an additional 2-4" of snow...heaviest to the north.

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds and a high near 40 with a light breeze today. Lows tonight will be near freezing with a light rain/snow mix developing after midnight with a dusting of snow accumulation by morning.

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for rapidly changing conditions as this powerful storm system moves through the state. It was cloudy and foggy with temps in the 30s at 11am, but noon it was sunny and low to mid 50s around Milwaukee as the warm front moved through. However, clouds and light snow are just to the west and will move back into Milwaukee this afternoon with a rain/snow mix as temperatures drop to near 40 by late afternoon. That will change to light snow this evening with less than 1" of accumulation and lows near 30.

The wintry mix will continue overnight with some freezing rain and sleet to the north and rain and rumbles of thunder to the south. Fond du Lac and Sheboygan Counties will have 1-3" of snow and sleet and the rest of SE Wisconsin will have less than 1" of accumulation. Milwaukee and areas to the south will have at least a half inch of rain overnight.

    he forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds, highs near 40 and light rain showers moving into the area before the evening commute. As temperatures cool this evening, the rain will mix with snow and become all snow after 9pm with about 1-2" of accumulation around Milwaukee and less than 1" to the north. Areas south of Milwaukee are under a Winter Weather Advisory and will receive 2-3" of snow with isolated 4" amounts along the state line.

Clouds increase tonight as the next storm system moves through the state. Light snow will develop after 2am and less than an inch of accumulation is expected by the morning commute. Just enough snow to make the roads a little slippery.

    Happy Presidents Day! On this date in 1979, it was the 52nd consecutive day of high temperatures at or below freezing…a record. Compare that to this year where our longest stretch of highs at or less than 32 was 4 days from January 18-21. We have had two 2 and 3 day stretches…otherwise; our temperatures have been above normal.

  • This February Compared to Past

    Another mild February week comes to an end and it remains quiet as well despite two storm systems passing through the area. We had about an inch of snow Monday night that quickly melted and another storm system Wednesday night that only dropped a little light rain and drizzle. Wednesday and Thursday were both in the mid to upper 40s.

    My mom wants to take Ali to their Florida house this summer for a month along with her cousins Drew (13) and Emma (8) from Oklahoma City. They went last year, but Ali was still too young.

  • Warm Day..Rain/Snow Tonight

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for hazy sunshine, a light southerly breeze and highs in the mid to upper 40s. Clouds will increase later this afternoon and evening with rain showers developing this evening and changing to a rain/snow mix and then to all snow late tonight. Lows will be near freezing with minor snow accumulations overnight in Milwaukee and south, while areas to the north will receive 1-2" of snow...especially Fond du Lac and Sheboygan.

  • Great Valentine's Day

    Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! My day started with a sweet and shy (she is never shy) 6 year old girl handing me a card she made for me. It said: "I love you daddy. Will you be my Valentine? I want to be yours!" I looked at her and she was looking at the floor with a shy smile on her face and then said I love you daddy. I picked her up, gave her a big hug, and said I would love to be her Valentine. I have never seen a bigger smile! TI got a huge hug and big kiss...what a start to Valentine's Day.

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a dreary and damp Valentine's Day with highs in the low to mid 30s and patchy areas of drizzle. The roads will be in great shape for everyone heading out for dinner tonight and it will be mild with temperatures near 30.

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds and light snow this afternoon with less than 1" of accumulation. A southwest wind at 10-15 mph will bump high temperatures into the low to mid 30s today.

  • Warm January

    For the first time in 3 weeks, we were actually below normal for high temperatures. The cold front arrived early Friday morning and with highs only in the 20s, it snapped a 19 day streak of highs above the normal of 31. We stayed cold this weekend but we get back to the freezing mark today with scattered snow showers.

  • Winter is Back

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for the return of winter. Moderate to heavy snow bands with thunder have been moving through Milwaukee and the surrounding area this morning and will taper off by 1pm. A quick 1-2" is expected with isolated 3" amounts. Scattered snow showers and flurries will linger through the afternoon and gradually taper off to flurries this evening.
