The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin for Friday is another great summer day! Highs will be in the lower 80s, but just a few degrees cooler along the lake thanks to a light lake breeze. Humidity will be on the rise this afternoon, but it won’t be a humid day, just a little dampness this evening. The roof will be open at Miller Park and by the end of the game the temperature will be in the lower 70s and a light breeze.

While we are enjoying a beautiful stretch of weather with sunshine, low humidity and highs in the 70s and lower 80s through the weekend, the east coast is bracing for Major Hurricane Irene. If the area of high pressure dominating our weather was stronger, it would help the East Coast by keeping the hurricane further away from the coastline, but unfortunately these are weak high pressure systems and the path of this storm with affect millions along the coast from North Carolina on Saturday to New England on Sunday.

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin for Thursday is beautiful weather thanks to high pressure. Highs in the 70s with lots of sun, low humidity and a nice breeze makes for a beautiful late August day. Tonight will be great for sleeping with lows near 60 along the lake and 50s inland. The only issue will be areas of patchy fog.

Last night as I drove home I came up to what I thought was a fender bender just south of Brown Deere Rd on I-43. A sheriff pulled up the same time I did and he stopped me from passing the scene as he jumped out of his car with gun drawn..holy crap! This was no fender bender! In a matter of moments, a guy was lying on the ground and handcuffed and then a few minutes later a second man was cuffed on the ground with lots of police officers around the scene with guns out...some right next to my truck. I had a front row seat to the action. wow! The police were very impressive!

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin for Wednesday should make everyone happy…it started out very foggy due to high dew points and humidity that is making it very sticky and hazy so far with temperatures near 90. However, a front will move through Milwaukee early this afternoon with dropping dew points and temperatures. By 7pm we will be near 80 with dry air and lows tonight will be in the 50s away from the lake.

The East Coast was shaking about an hour ago today from a 6.0 earthquake in Maryland. There are even reports of people feeling it here in Milwaukee, including the Journal Building downtown. Things were swaying on the 6th floor...freaky!

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha, and SE Wisconsin is for high pressure to continue to dominate our weather for Tuesday with a light SE breeze, so lakefront communities will be in the upper 70s while Milwaukee and the rest of SE Wisconsin will be in the lower 80s. The main difference will be increased dew points, which makes it more humid. A cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms late Tuesday night, and Wednesday will be cloudy and very humid with thundershowers likely, especially before noon. The cold front will bring dry air and highs in the 70s for Thursday…best day of week! Friday looks beautiful as well, but scattered showers return with another cold front on Saturday and into early Sunday.
