  • Windy and getting colder

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a quieter night with just a few evening showers and then partly cloudy overnight with lows near 50. Thursday will start out sunny with a light breeze and temperatures will quickly warm up into the upper 60s with increasing clouds and wind as a cold front passes through in the early afternoon. Winds will quickly increase to 25-45 mph and there is a wind advisory for all of SE Wisconsin Thursday afternoon until Friday morning. Showers are also possible tomorrow afternoon with cold front and lingering into Thursday night with a brisk low of 47. Wind chills will be in the 30s.

  • Emmy Nomination

It's that time of year again...Chicago/Midwest Emmy nominations for TV excellence. I did not get nominated this year for best meteorologist. I was trying to win for the third year in a row, but I guess my skills have slipped...haha. You can't win all the time and I am honored to have won the past two years.

  • Clouds Made Us Miss Something

The stubborn cut-off low finally leaves the area later today after affecting our weather since last Friday with clouds and scattered showers and downpours. Since Saturday, Milwaukee has received 1.65” of rain, Grafton 3.1” and Kenosha 4.3”. Normal for the entire month is 3.3”.

  • Continued Cool...Scattered Showers

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for more scattered showers this evening and overnight with lows near 50 and less wind finally. The cutoff low pressure system continues to dominate our weather with mostly cloudy conditions, scattered rain showers and cool temperatures in the low to mid 60s through Wednesday. The good news is that the rain will not be as heavy as the past few days and the wind will be much lighter at 5-15 mph out of the east and northeast.

  • Dreary Weekend

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds, scattered showers and highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s for the weekend and into early next week thanks to a slow moving low pressure system that is stuck over the Upper Midwest. It won’t rain all weekend, but scattered showers are possible Saturday and become more numerous Saturday night and Sunday.

  • Can Tell Mom Anything

My mom is one of my best friends and we have great talks...today was one of those days. We talked about many things including something I have been keeping from her for more than a year.

  • First snow

A lady came up to me today asking when the first snow will be? She was serious and not happy when I said not for awhile...hopefully.

  • Attention to Details

My dad at I were at the golf course this morning and he asks me if it was going to be dreary and chilly all day. I was shocked and just starred at him for a second..seriously dad? You have watched every one of my forecasts this week...it was supposed to be cloudy and chilly with drizzle.

  • Clouds and Chill Linger

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin remains cloudy and cool with lows tonight in the 40s and a few upper 30s west of Waukesha. Highs on Friday will be in the upper 50s to near 60 with clouds and a few pop up showers or sprinkles.

  • One Year Ago...Austin Was Born

It was one year ago Wednesday evening that Tina and I calmly walked into the hospital to have our second child. I say calmly, because you are so much more relaxed and prepared compared to the first time when you are freaking out. You just have no idea what to expect.

  • I'm Still Here

I was gone for 3 days last week on vacation and 2 days the week before for the Packer game, but I am back to work, but not on my normal shows. I have been getting emails and phone calls askng where I am at. I am on the 5, 6 and 10pm newscasts for the next few weeks covering for John Malan.

  • Blog Slacker

My apologies for not blogging much lately. There just does not seem to be enough time in a day, but I promise to get you all caught up on everything. The Packers, my trip last weekend to California, and my family.

  • Cooler and smoky

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin was for sunshine and cooler temperatures behind the cold front that passed through early this morning, but after a sunny start to the day, the strong northwest winds are blowing smoke into the area from a huge wildfire in NE Minnesota that has been burning for almost a month now. If it were not for the smoke, we would be enjoying a beautiful clear sky with highs near 70.

  • Summer today...fall rest of week

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for one more summer day today with highs in the mid 80s under a sunny sky and a SW wind up to 20 mph and a little humidity. Summer lovers better take it all in today because two cold fronts are on their way that will significantly change the weather the rest of the week.
