  • We are Now in Snow Season

The trees are almost completely bare of their leaves and the air is getting colder as we wrap up October. The normal high temperature today is 55 compared to 67 at the beginning of the month and the normal low is 38 degrees today compared to 48 on October 1st.

  • Hey Brian Tuesday October 25

Jim Cullen and I talk about the Northern Lights and Michael Fish's fear of thunder. Great times as always and we had so many laughs. I will cherish this Hey Brian because Cullen will be out for awhile after having surgery today. I will miss my friend and can't wait for his return so we can have many more hilarious moments together.

  • Cool Day..Frosty Night

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for some sun and highs near 50. There will be plenty of clouds and a slight chance for isolated showers this afternoon.

  • Typical Wisconsin Fall Day

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a dreary, damp and chilly day with highs only in the 40s, wind chills in the 30s and drizzle with isolated showers.

  • Damp & Mild Today...Chilly Rest of Week

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for mostly cloudy and mild conditions with highs in the lower 60s. There will be some sunshine and there is still an isolated chance of a pop up shower.

  • Great Monday...Chilly Week

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a beautiful Monday with lots of sun and highs in the lower 60s with a westerly wind at 10-20 mph. The wind is a sign that things are about to change and that change will be visible late this afternoon and evening with increasing clouds and then rain showers after midnight.

  • Stressful Games

I'm nervous about this sports weekend. Badgers have not been tested (Nebraska way overrated) and now at Michigan State where they always struggle. Bucky's only loss last year was at home to Michigan State. This is a huge test for Wisconsin.

  • Frosty Night...Beautiful Saturday

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha, and SE Wisconsin is for a clear and cold night with frost likely inland and patchy frost along the lake with low sin the low to mid 30s. There is a frost advisory for the lakefront counties. The inland counties hit the freezing mark last night so the growing season is now over and no more frost advisories will be issued.

  • Less Wind & Clearing...Frosty

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for the rain and drizzle to come to an end this evening with clearing overnight and less wind. The winds will diminish to around 10 mph, but it will be cold tonight with lows in the low to mid 30s. As a result, all the inland counties are under a Frost Advisory tonight. The lakefront is not under the advisory, but I will not be shocked to see patchy frost in Milwaukee and along the lake with lows in the mid 30s. It would be the first frost of the season for Milwaukee.

  • A Nasty Fall Day

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha, and SE Wisconsin is for scattered rain showers to become more numerous later this afternoon and evening. Also expect heavy downpours at times, especially along the lakefront. The wind will also be increasing throughout the day with gusts by this afternoon approaching 40mph. As a result, a wind advisory goes into effect for most of the inland counties and a high wind warning for Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties. Highs today will only be in the upper 40s.

  • Recognized by Austin

Lately Austin gets excited when I walk into a room. He points, smiles and even shouts at times, but tonight during my 6pm weathercast, Austin recognized me on TV for the first time. He pointed and shouted "dada, dada, dada!"

  • Getting Back to Normal

It's been a crazy month and I have been slacking on the blog, but my schedule starts to get back to normal starting tomorrow (Wednesday).

  • Cold, Wind and Rain..Oh Joy

The wind finally diminished a bit yesterday with gusts near 20 mph and highs in the lower 50s, but a powerful low pressure system over Ohio will crank up our winds once again today to over 40 mph and gusts at times could be over 50 mph with scattered rain showers and highs in the upper 40s.

  • Rainy, Windy, Cold

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha, and SE Wisconsin is for clouds, rain, chilly air and lots of wind the next few days.

  • Less Wind, but Colder with Showers

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for less wind tonight, finally, and cold temperatures as lows drop to 40 along the lake and mid 30s inland with patchy frost. The wind will be out of the NW at 5 to 15 mph putting wind chills in the upper 20s west of Waukesha.

  • No '82 Repeat

So far, 2011 NLCS is exactly like '82 World Series. The Brewers won Games 1 & 4, Cards 2 & 3.

  • Windy & Cool

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for wind and chilly temperatures tonight and for the weekend. Lows tonight will drop to near 40 along the lake and upper 30s west of Waukesha with a westerly wind up to 20 mph. Saturday will be mostly sunny and cool with highs in the upper 50s and a strong WNW wind up to 35 mph.

  • Rain Ending...Windy & Chilly

After a rainy Thursday, the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin calls for a few evening showers and then becoming partly cloudy after midnight and chilly with lows in the 40s.

  • Preparing for Fall and Beyond

We had another great day of sun and 70s on Wednesday so I decided to get the kids summer stuff cleaned up and put away...toys and all the water toys, including the giant inflatable water slide...sad.

  • Cardinal Blues

I really hate the Cardinals. I have disliked them since the 1982 World Series, especially John Tudor. Brewers made a game of it tonight after a terrible first, but not enough. Go Crew!
