It's that time of year again...Chicago/Midwest Emmy nominations for TV excellence. I did not get nominated this year for best meteorologist. I was trying to win for the third year in a row, but I guess my skills have slipped...haha. You can't win all the time and I am honored to have won the past two years.

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds, scattered showers and highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s for the weekend and into early next week thanks to a slow moving low pressure system that is stuck over the Upper Midwest. It won’t rain all weekend, but scattered showers are possible Saturday and become more numerous Saturday night and Sunday.

It was one year ago Wednesday evening that Tina and I calmly walked into the hospital to have our second child. I say calmly, because you are so much more relaxed and prepared compared to the first time when you are freaking out. You just have no idea what to expect.

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin was for sunshine and cooler temperatures behind the cold front that passed through early this morning, but after a sunny start to the day, the strong northwest winds are blowing smoke into the area from a huge wildfire in NE Minnesota that has been burning for almost a month now. If it were not for the smoke, we would be enjoying a beautiful clear sky with highs near 70.
