The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for frigid conditions today as highs only get into the single digits and wind chills -10 to -20 despite the sunshine...coldest days are always sunny thanks to a huge area of arctic high pressure.
That high pressure will diminish the wind tonight, but it will still be cold with lows of 0 at the lake and -8 inland. Clouds increase overnight and the snow will begin after 9am Friday and continue all day. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 9am to 9pm Friday for Milwaukee, Waukesha, Jefferson, Walworth, Racine and Kenosha counties with 3-6" of snow expected. Counties to the north will receive 1-3" of snow. The snow will taper off after 8pm Friday evening.
Highs on Friday will be in the teens and the wind will not be an issue..it will be less than 5 mph so blowing snow will not be a problem.
Saturday is a nice winter day with highs in the mid 20s, light wind and sunshine. Sunday is mild with highs in the mid 30s, but a rain/snow mix is likely with less than an inch of snow accumulation.
