The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for sunshine, a light southerly breeze and warm with temperatures in the lower 50s. The record for Milwaukee is 52 today back in 1975. It is as good as it gets for January!
Tonight will be clear and mild with a low of 32 and Wednesday will be another warm day with highs near 50, sunshine and a light breeze.
A cold front will be moving through the state Wednesday and arrive in Milwaukee by the evening. Lows will remain mild, in the mid 20s, but scattered light snow showers are expected well after midnight with a dusting of accumulation by Thursday morning.
Thursday will be cloudy, breezy and colder with snow showers likely throughout the day. Highs will be in the upper 20s early and then drop to near 20 by late afternoon with wind chills near 0. The snow will be light and fluffy so expect blowing and drifting with about 1-2" of accumulation expected throughout SE Wisconsin.
The light snow will continue until after midnight Thursday night with an additional 1-2" possible...heavier amounts will be north Overall, 2-3" of snow is expected in Milwaukee, Waukesha and south, and 3-5" of snow in Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties.
Friday will be breezy and cold with highs near 20 and Milwaukee remains sunny with highs in the mid 20s with lows in the teens.
