Brian Gotter: Welcome Back, Gotter

Round 2 of Freezing Rain and Snow

  • Print

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for another round of freezing rain, snow and sleet tonight after 2am.  Less than an inch of snow is expected around Milwaukee and 1-2" to the north and northwest of the city.  Along with that, freezing rain is a threat again like Thursday morning....it doesn't take much ice to turn roads into an ice skating rink.  Lows will drop to near 32 overnight with a light breeze.

The rain/snow mix continues on Friday with up to an additional inch of snow possible across the area.  The mix tapers off to drizzle and flurries in the afternoon with the clouds and fog and highs in the upper 30s.

The clouds clear out Friday night, and Saturday will have plenty of sun and a breezy southerly wind with highs in the low to mid 40s.

A cold front moves in Saturday night and the wind gets very strong out of the NW at 20-40mph during the day on Sunday.  Highs will be in the mid 30s before noon and temperatures will be dropping into the 20s by afternoon with wind chills near 10.  Scattered light snow showers are also possible with little accumulation.

Next week starts out cold with highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits..January weather.
