Dreary Day..Rainy Night
The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds, fog, drizzle and chilly conditions with highs in the 40s and a brisk wind. The first round of rain this morning dropped more than a half inch of rain and while we get a break from the showers this afternoon, but remains dreary with drizzle, more heavy rain moves in this evening and tonight with an additional 1-2” of rain expected.
Lows tonight will be near 40 and highs only get into the upper 40s by midday before gusty NW winds up to 35 mph usher in colder air. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s by 5pm with wind chills in the 20s. Snowflakes could mix in with the late afternoon light rain to the north of Milwaukee…no accumulation is expected.
However, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect from La Crosse to the Upper Peninsula for 4-10” of snow tonight and early Wednesday.
Highs on Thursday will only be in the upper 30s in Milwaukee, despite sunshine. Gusty NW winds up to 30 mph will but wind chills in the upper 20s.
Friday will be sunny and in the upper 40s and the weekend looks above normal with highs in the 50s and sunshine.
