Getting Back to Normal

It's been a crazy month and I have been slacking on the blog, but my schedule starts to get back to normal starting tomorrow (Wednesday).

John Malan has been out the past 4 weeks recovering from knee replacement surgery and he is coming back Wednesday night and the rest of the week on the 10pm newscast.  He is still in pain, but he is tough and ready to get back to work.  I think he has cabin fever and needs to get some normalcy in his life besides rehab.  I am so glad he is coming back.  I miss our weather discussions and especially the fun we have in the afternoon...lots of laughs and jokes.  John and I have been talking every week and we have some laughs, but can't wait for him to be in the weather center telling me his stories.  We have lots of catching up to do.

John and I will be back to our normal schedule next Monday as long as his knee is feeling ok.  Thanks for everyone on the evening crew for putting up with me the past 4 has been a blast!  I look forward to working with Vinny, Diane, Steve and Courtny on the afternoon newscasts...its been a long time.

It wasn't as tough of a schedule adjustment as I thought.  I was home all day with Austin and Tina before going to work.  I took Ali to school every morning and then came home to put the kids to bed between the 6 and 10 newscasts.  I did not see Ali very much during the week and I missed my little girl like crazy, but it wasn't as tough as I thought.  At least I saw her for a little each day and spent as much time with her on the weekends as possible.

I am just looking forward to having dinner with all of them and relaxing on the couch before they go to bed each evening..its the simple things!
