Brian Gotter: Welcome Back, Gotter

Rain, Wind, Chill...Fall Returns

  • Print

After a bonus day of sunshine and highs in the 70s for the 9th consecutive day in Milwaukee (tied record from 1953 & 1947), the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for scattered showers tonight with lows in the mid 50s.  Thursday will be the first rainy day of the month and the rain will be heavy at times and you may even hear a few rumbles of thunder with highs in the lower 60s…normal for mid October.

The rain showers continue Thursday night with lows in the 40s as the cold front moves through the area.  Friday will start with clouds and sprinkles and then clear out in the afternoon, but it will be very windy with NW winds gusting to 35 mph and highs only in the 50s.  Wind chills will drop into the 30s for high school football Friday evening.

Sunshine returns for Saturday, but it will be windy and chilly with highs near 60 and a NW wind up to 30 mph.

A weak storm system passes to the south of Milwaukee Saturday night and Sunday with a few scattered showers.  Highs on Sunday will be near 60.  It gets chilly next week with rain likely on Monday with highs in the 50s.  Tuesday will have scattered showers with highs near 50 and the possibility of the first snowflakes…especially north.  Fall returns with a bite.
