Storms, then Fall

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin for Friday is hot & Humid with highs near 90 from Milwaukee and to the south, while areas north may remain below 80 today due to clouds and heavy rain this morning.  Severe storms are unlikely to the north for the remainder of the day, but downpours are likely.  From Milwaukee and Waukesha and points to the south, even though it is cloudy, we have missed the early storms and our atmosphere remains unsettled and storms are likely later this afternoon and evening and we are under a slight risk for severe storms with large hail and damaging winds as a cold front moves through.  Heavy rain will also be likely this evening and overnight with lows near 70.

A second cold front will move into Wisconsin on Saturday and that will keep us cloudy with scattered T’showers and downpours likely.  It won’t be an all day rain, but it will be heavy when it does rain.  Most of the area will receive about an inch of rain tonight and tomorrow.  Highs will be in the 70s, and it will be humid.

The rain finally ends Saturday night and as the sky clears, the temperatures drop into the 50s away from the lake and near 60 along the water.  Sunday will be sunny and breezy with highs near 70 and very dry air.  Labor Day will be sunny and breezy with highs in the 60s….it is the unofficial end of summer and it will feel like it.

Next week looks sunny all week with highs in the lower 70s and very dry air.
