It’s the first day of Meteorological Fall and the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for summer heat and humidity! Highs today will be in the low to mid 80s near the lake and in the lower 90s west of Waukesha with hazy sunshine.
Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 70s (normal high today is 76) and very muggy with not much breeze…an uncomfortable night for sleeping without air conditioning.
Friday will be hot, hazy and humid with highs near 90 and a gusty SW wind. Clouds will be on the increase with a chance for scattered T’storms in the afternoon and evening. SE Wisconsin is now under a slight risk for some of those storms to become severe with large hail and damaging winds. The threat of storms increases in the evening as the cold front passes through the area overnight. Lows will be in the 60s and less humid.
Saturday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 70s and a slight chance of a pop up shower.
Sunday will feel like fall with very dry air, a NW wind and highs near 70 despite a sunny sky. Labor Day will be sunny and cool with highs only in the 60s!
