Brian Gotter: Welcome Back, Gotter

Summer Returns

  • Print

After clouds and sprinkles this morning, the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin for Wednesday is for hazy sunshine, highs near 80 (cooler at the lake) and increasing humidity.  The roof will be open tonight at Miller Park and that’s a good thing since it will be in the 70s and muggy with no breeze.

Look for dense fog overnight with lows in the mid to upper 60s and very humid.  The fog burns off in the morning and then it is hazy sun, very humid and highs in the upper 80s along the lake and lower 90s west of Waukesha as the warm front lifts north of the Milwaukee area.

Lows on Thursday night will be very uncomfortable as we stay in the mid 70s with high humidity.  After a warm start, highs on Friday will get into the lower 90s, even at the lake, due to a gusty SW wind.  It will also be very steamy and look for scattered t’storms to develop by late afternoon and evening along a cold front. No severe weather is expected at this time, but heavy rain and lightning are a possibility for Friday Football Frenzy.

There is a slight chance of a shower Saturday morning, otherwise the weekend is looking better with sunshine, falling humidity and highs in the 70s.  Sunday will feel like fall with a high of 70 and very dry air and Labor Day will be sunny and 68….fall arrives right on schedule.
