Wind Chill Replaces Heat Index
Fall has returned after three hot and humid days in the 90s this week and we have replaced heat index with wind chill. At noon today, Milwaukee was 50 degrees, or 42 degrees cooler than Wednesday’s high temperature and 47 degrees cooler than Tuesday’s record high. Many of you wanted relief, but this is a bit drastic. Highs today will be in the 50s with a gusty NE wind and clouds…there is a wind chill.
Lows tonight will be in the 40s and more rain moves into Milwaukee after midnight. There will be rumbles of thunder, but severe weather is not expected.
Friday is a soggy day with clouds and T’storms and occasional heavy rain. There is a slight risk of severe storms (mainly hail) around Chicago and up to the Wisconsin border, but SE Wisconsin will be rainy and cool with highs near 60.
There is a slight chance of showers Saturday morning, but it will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 60s by afternoon. Sunday will be sunny with a light lake breeze and cool along the lake with highs in the lower 60s and near 70 in Waukesha.
Next week looks normal for a change with highs in the low to mid 70s.
