After a record high of 97 on Tuesday, more heat and humidity is expected today with highs near the record of 93 from 1933. It won’t be as hot as yesterday and some areas will remain in the 80s due to morning showers and T’storms..the clouds are helping to keep it cooler.
The cold front is already into western Wisconsin and temperatures are in the 70s in the Twin Cities after being 103 yesterday….the humidity is also much lower.
Expect scattered storms throughout the afternoon, but storms become likely after 5pm until midnight as the front moves through the area. All of SE Wisconsin is under a Slight Risk of severe storms with the main threats being large hail and damaging winds, but very isolated tornadoes are also possible.
Expect BIG weather changes for the rest of the week with clouds and chilly high temperatures in the 50s and lower 60s. Thursday will be mostly cloudy and Friday will be cloudy and foggy with T’showers likely.
Saturday has a slight chance of showers in the morning and then clearing with highs in the upper 60s and Sunday is beautiful with sunshine and highs in the lower 70s.
