High pressure is settling in across the Upper Midwest and that means another sunny day and winds are lighter, while still out of the NE at 10-20 mph. Highs got into the lower 50s near the lakefront this morning and are now dropping into the upper 40s for the rest of the day thanks to that NE wind. After a frosty start, areas west of Waukesha are warming up into the lower 60s today.
Tonight will not be as cold and no frost is in the forecast thanks to increasing clouds and a NE wind off the lake. Lows will be in the 40s overnight.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a very slight chance for sprinkles or a light rain shower with highs in the 50s along the water and lower 60s in Waukesha.
The chance for sprinkles or light rain continues Wednesday night with patchy fog and lows in the upper 40s.
Thursday remains mostly cloudy with a chance for scattered showers off the lake and highs near 60 in the mid 50s early along the lakefront and mid 60s inland.
Friday looks beautiful, the pick day of week, with sunshine and highs in the mid 60s. For the first time this spring, 70s are in the forecast and during the weekend, with a high of 70 on Saturday and 76 on Sunday. However, both days have a chance for scattered T’storms. It won’t rain all weekend, but rain is likely both afternoons.
