Shelley Walcott: Don't Tell The BossWow, Scott's really getting married!By Shelley WalcottSaturday was a day to celebrate my friend Scott and his beautiful wife-to-be Rachel. You may have noticed, I took the day off so I could attend some pre-wedding festivities. It started with one of the most beautiful and emotional bridal showers I have ever attended. Rachel's family and friends gathered at the North Shore Country Club in Mequon. I always knew Rachel was a great girl, but after hearing other people talk about her, now I know she is one of the sweetest, sincere and accomplished people I have met in some time! She's a Cornell grad, tutors Hebrew, and is actively involved in her synagogue. And what can I say about Scott? I learned so much more about him this weekend as well. He is also very committed to his faith and has so many wonderful friends who have remained close to him over the years. It's no wonder. To know Scott is to love him. Saturday evening, close friends of Rachel and Scott hosted a party that was simply fabulous. My husband and I had such a ball... mingling, eating and enjoying some really nice adult conversation. We also had a chance to hang out with our chief meteorologist John Malan and his lovely wife. So much fun! Scott and Rachel have wonderful friends, and Taylor and I are proud to count ourselves among them.
Oh... and did you see the gorgeous cake in the above picture? It was created by a very talented local baker in Cedarburg. Gorgeous... and it tasted really good too! Mazel Tov to a fabulous couple. What a preview to a wedding that is sure to be divine! |
