Shelley Walcott: Don't Tell The BossRIP Michael... Now here's what I want to know:By Shelley WalcottMichael Jackson's memorial service lasted for two hours... and I must have bawled throughout the whole thing. A pathetic mess. My seven-year-old just laughed at me as she ran to get tissues. Thank God she thought the whole thing was funny. I would hate to think I was traumatizing my child. Or have her think her Mommy is a complete loon. But as I was popping some Advil to relieve my post-memorial headache, reality started to set back in, and there are still some things that I really want to know about dearly departed Michael: First off --- what's with the kids? Is Michael really their biological father? I mean, Paris was just the sweetest thing as she cried and professed her love for Michael Jackson. I'm a parent. That ripped my heart out. But as young Paris turned to hug her aunties, I couldn't help but notice how physically different she was from them. I mean think about it: Before the vitiligo or bleaching (whatever version of Michael's skin-lightening story you choose to believe) Michael was a dark-skinned brother. I mean, I know a lot of mixed kids (my own nephews are bi-racial) but there is usually a distinct tint in their skin or kink in their hair that is the unmistakeable giveaway of African genes. I mean, I know blacks and bi-racials can come in many shades under the sun... but I just don't see it in Michael's two older kids. I'd really like to, but I just don't. But who's to say for sure... I could be totally off base here. And speaking of skin color, what is the story behind Michael's? Was it vitiligo... or bleaching? Isn't there anyone who knows what really happened here? Can't TMZ pay someone off and get the scoop? And when does that toxicology report get back? As much as Michael was lauded for being a terrific human being, was he ultimately someone who was fatally flawed? Was he so addicted to prescription cocktails that he eventually took a mix that short-circuited his heart? We can hide a lot of things in life... but death can reveal al lot of painful truths. Again... I hope Michael can rest in peace. But many of the people who revered his life won't, until they know the whole truth. |
