I knew it was time to get back to work when I started listening to my daughter's Camp Rock cd in the car...

..even when I was all by myself! 

I am officially back at work now that my 12 weeks of maternity leave are up.  I swear, this summer went so fast!!!  

And it was easily the best summer of my life! 

Spending time with my children was a gift.  It gave me a chance to get to know my new son Noah, a chance to get to know my six-year-old Ashley even better, and a chance to reconnect with family and good friends.  Most of all, my time at home re-established a very tight bond between me and my better half --- my husband Taylor.  Suffice to say he is my best friend, and I would be nothing without him.

The crew at TMJ4 turned out in full force to lend their support to me while I was at home:  Scott Steele and his lovely girlfriend Rachel came over twice --- with dinner!! --- to hang out with us and spend some time with the baby. Scott is incredible!

Mick Trevey and his loveley wife Kate also came by...  so did several producers from the newsrom.

Noah looks so little in these picture.  He is now almost three months old, nearly 15 pounds and has a smile that just melts my heart.  Just check out his picture above!

It's good to be back.  The trick now is to balance two kids with a demanding job.  Stay tuned to my blogs... and I'll let you know how I'm managing that!
