I'm nearly 36 weeks pregnant. That's officially 9 months. Think about it. I could go into labor at any time.
And I kind of felt like I might during the Sunday 10 p.m. show.
There I was... standing, trying to read a script... when I felt my abdomen... well, harden. It was very uncomfortable. I waved at Charles. He picked up the script. "Go sit down," my producer Lacey said in my ear.
Hmm. She sounded frightened. Labor or not... hearing your producer get scared like that is, well, kind of funny.
I had felt something similar Saturday night. Charles and I were sitting at the interview set, and I just felt like my clothes were suddenly too tight. Then the pain. And the baby doing loopdy loops like he had too much sugar in his system.
These could be Braxton HIcks contractions. Or maybe the baby has something against Lacey's producing. Whatever is going on, it's clear that now is the time I have to be prepared.
No out of town trips. Have to pack the overnight bag for the hospital. Need to figure out who will watch our daughter if I have to deliver before the relatives arrive.
But the upside to all of this is... it's almost time to have our baby. And that's pretty cool.
And even though I have a c-section date planned... the truth is... this could all literally break at any time
