Call it one small step for beagles... one giant step for dogkind.

You know the truth is, I love dogs.  I don't have one, never owned one --- but I just adore everything about them!  (Maybe the fact that I've never owned a dog is the reason I like them so much... but I digress...)

So... I was strangley thrilled when I heard this morning that a beagle was the top dog at the Westmnister Kennel Club.  Three-year-old Uno was numero uno, beating out two perfect little poodles to win best in show.

Love that.  After all, beagles don't have the greatest reputations.  They can be hard-headed, stubborn, and defensive.  Kind of like good ol' Snoopy himself.

But when it came time to show, Uno was as precious as he was precocious.  He strut around the ring and performed like a champ.  If you saw the video of the competition you know --- he was irrisistable.  Almost like he was saying, "I won't be outdone by these other uptight dogs!"

And he wasn't.   Call him a champion for the everyday dog!
