Vince Vitrano: Not For BroadcastCAN'T WATCH PONIESWILL WATCH A LOT... NOT PONIESBy Vince VitranoWe watched My Little Pony last night at my house, and I think it's going to be lost soon. Parents watch a lot of garbage with their kids. Somewhere along the line, the producers of many kids' shows figured out if they throw a little something in there for moms and dads, they're likely to get a lot more air-time in the home.
Olivia, Super Why, Between the Lions, Jakers, Word World, Little Bill and... Lord help me... Yo Gabba Gabba. I actually like those shows. I can live with Arthur, Franklin, Angelina the Ballerina, and even the occasional Wonder Pets.
They loved it. Ella was mesmerized. Olivia kept saying, "Pony. Pony. Pony." And then Max... my son... my little man... poor Max. Grinned from ear to ear for the whole show. Can't have that. Ponies... out. emails: vvitrano@todaystmj4.com

My kids watch a lot of shows that... no, I wouldn't rather watch than the Brewer game... but will gladly tolerate and within the genre, dare I say enjoy.
Somehow after Ella's 4th birthday party this weekend, she ended up with a My Little Pony DVD. That was the worst thing I've ever seen. Worse than the purple dinosaur. Some whiny horse lost some other whiny horse's dancing shoes or something. There was sighing, singing, dancing, and those excruciating, sugary voices. Make it stop!
