Mercure UncutDiamant on the MendBy John MercureMilwaukee- Investigative Reporter Aaron Diamant is recovering from a nasty fall that he took when working on a follow up to a big investigation. "This isn't just a follow up. It's a big follow up to a big investigation. I'm talking huge, " Diamant commented during a rare break on the company's back loading dock.
Diamant was taken to a local hospital where he was diagnosed with a dislocated right shoulder. He was given painkillers and they popped the shoulder back into place. "The reports that Aaron asked for his teddy bear to cuddle before we did the shoulder reduction are not true," a clearly agitated doctor told the assembled media onslaught. "It was a Care Bear he asked for. I think it might have been Tenderheart." Diamant is a vital cog in the TODAYS TMJ 4 machine. His co-workers are understandably concerned about how the quality of newscasts would be negatively impacted without The Diamant's presence. "Without the 'A Train' regularly rolling his reports out to viewers we would all be lost", a concerned John Mercure muttered. So the I TEAM took matter in their own hands . "With so much riding on the importance of 'A Trains' continued presence the only safe thing to do was to protect our man... especially since he is such a Klutz," mused photojournalist Ira Klusendorf."
So the I Team went out and purchased a 50 pound bag of Ice-A-Way and did the only responsible thing. They spread it throughout Diamant's cubicle. It was the only way to guarantee that he wouldn't slip and fall while pursuing meaningful stories for TMJ 4 viewers. "We even put some on his chair, so that his kiester wouldn't slip out, " A proud Stephanie Graham bragged. Diamant and his sore shoulder were last seen trying to figure out how to do a one armed confrontation. (C) 2007

At the time of the spill Diamant was attempting to confront an unscrupulous business owner. As he walked toward the front door photojournalist Paul Marble was filming. Video replays show that Diamant appeared to cross several feet of clear sidewalk before encountering a six square inch patch of ice. Diamant hit the ice and immediately went down. The fall was so fast and hard that Diamant was in Marble's viewfinder one moment and gone the next. "It was like watching David Copperfield... minus all those hot magician chicks," a clearly shaken Marble recounting through tears.
