So today Michael Vick decided to try to take responsibility for his heinous actions.  I have done a lot of stories recently on puppymills.  People feel so strongly about their pets, especially dogs.  It really is true that these dogs become like members of the owners families.  Given the economic ramifications for any NFL franchise that would think about picking Vick up in the future, I just can't see it happening.  The PETA protestors would show up in force before every game he would play.  But it wouldn't end there.  Animal rights activists would picket the team headquarters every day.  And it wouldn't end there.  They would camp outside the NFL offices and the offices of all the NFL's major advertisers.  The NFL won't allow that to happen. 

   I'm telling you I have done stories on little kids being abused by their parents and I did not get the reaction that I get when I do stories on dogs being abused at puppymills.  These people are relentless.  The NFL will not take a chance on their product being destroyed by a felon dog abuser.

   Stephen who emails me regularly recently sent me a cartoon that may cut to the real reason that Vick has decided to plead guilty.  It shows the potential jury pool for any Vick trial.
