I know, I know. I have been a very bad blogger. We took a family vacation to New York City in August. In this very space I promised that I would write a future entry that included some photos. It's now three months later and I'm finally getting around to that column.
New York was amazing. Huge. So many people. So much to see and do. Great restaurants. Lots of cool things to do. We had a tour of Ground Zero by a husband and wife whose son was a firefighter and died there. It was poignant and powerful. We saw 'Wicked' on Broadway. We did Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. We walked the Brooklyn Bridge. We saw 'Spelling Bee' on Broadway and took a tour of Radio City Music Hall. We spent time in Chinatown and Little Italy. We got up to Yankee Stadium for a game and went to the South Street Seaport. We ate a picnic lunch in Central Park and took a peek inside Trump Tower. We window shopped at Tiffany's and Louis Vitton. We did real shopping at the world's largest toy store, FAO Schwartz. We saw the Flat Iron Building and the Big Macy's. We ate at Carnegie Deli and some other cool places. There was a ferry ride and Madison Square Garden. One night we went up to the 'Top of the Rock' for a stunning view of the city. And on our last day in New York we took a behind the scenes tour of 'Wicked'. Whew... I'm tired just thinking about all the things we did. I'm not sure how we fit it all in.
Now on to the pictures...
