Happy Thanksgiving!
There are many things that I am thankful for.
At the top of the list are my family. I have a very understanding wife and two wonderful daughters. I am thankful every day for the blessings that they are in my life. They are the sun in my sky and the twinkle in my eye. I work some crazy hours and they always understand when I need to be away from home. Thank you, Michelle and Kierra and Aimee.
I am also extremely thankful for my parents, Mike and Laurie. They live an hour south of here in Zion, Illinois. That's the town where I grew up. The lessons they taught me and the love they continue to show me are invaluable. Thank you. my grandparents, Jerry and Ginny Merkel are also near the top of the list of things that I am thankful for. And all the rest of my family, you rock! Thank you.
I know it sounds corny, but I am also grateful to you, our viewers. Thank you for watching the pieces we put together and thank you for the feedback you provide. And let me tell you, some of you are not shy about providing frequent feedback. (Hey Annie in Sheboygan, I promise I won't wear that blue and green striped tie every again) I may not return every email or phone call, although I do try. If you don't get a note back it doesn't mean that I didn't read it or that I don't care. It just means that I was probably live at 12 Noon, 4, 4:30, 5, 6, and back in the studio at 10P.
And I am also thankful for the great team I work with day in and day out. Ira, Maureen, Stephanie, Aaron, Paul M, Joe, Paul B... thank you.
I hope you all take the time today to think about the blessings in your life. I know that I tend to spend a lot of time thinking about the things that aren't so perfect in my life. Today I'm going to to focus on what is good. I'm also going to spend considerable time focusing on the Packers and lots of turkey.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
