Can you believe school starts Tuesday for most Milwaukee students? And football season starts this week. Wow!!! Where did summer go? It came and left as quickly as the Harley riders for the 105th anniversary celebration. As much as I love fall, it just seems like summer never happened this year. One way to know summer is about to come to an end is when John Malan brings out the TMJ4 weather kids. But it won't be long before the days are much shorter, and we will need jackets. So, I plan to squeeze as much as possible out of the remaining days of summer. I can see many are already doing that. I think this year I have seen more out than ever. They're biking, jogging, walking, playing sports...whatever. They just want to be outside. I believe they just want to hold onto summer. Let's face it, last winter was no picnic. And most are not eagerly awaiting the arrival of the white stuff. Not even me, and I'm a self-described lover of snow. But I hope Mother Nature waits as long as possible this year.. Maybe right before the Super Bowl. OK..I'm dreaming!!! (smiles)
