I know there are a lot of people with strong opinions on Brett Favre asking to be released from the Packers. Some are mad at Number 4, others are mad at GM Ted Thompson. Reactions range from good riddance...to stunned sadness. But I have to say I belong in the camp that would love to see Brett Favre return to the Pack. I know, it's unlikely, but Brett has done more for the Packers, the NFL and Green Bay than almost anyone alive. In my humble opinion how can you say no to an MVP quarterback who has won one Super Bowl, and been to another? Brett Favre has the most career touchdown passes, most career victories by starting quarterback, most career yards passing, and the record of most consecutive games. In my mind, Brett Favre has given us all countless thrilling moments. And he has the right to change his mind. Brett Favre is a star, a legend, an icon. People like Brett Favre do not come around often. I for one would love to see the Green and Gold give Brett a giant Green Bay welcome.
