GRAFTON STUDENT NATIONAL FINALIST IN “ACT” POSTER CONTEST

Grafton High School senior Lauren Moroder places Top 10 in National “ACT Poster Concept Scholarship Contest”; voting on ACT website will occur March 17-March 31

With college just around the corner, senior Lauren Moroder of Grafton High School decided she would try entering the national “ACT Poster Concept Scholarship Contest” which asked students nation-wide to design a poster that encourages students to attend college and to take the ACT as their college entrance exam. On March 17th, Moroder was in her fourth hour at school when she remembered the finalists’ posters were going to be displayed on the website that day. “My teacher and I immediately checked to see the posters that had won. My poster was listed as a top finalist! I couldn’t believe it,” Moroder comments.

A two-week voting process will occur on the ACT website to determine the winner. The winner will then receive a $5,000 scholarship and the winning poster will be displayed in schools all over the country to advertise for next year’s ACT dates!

To vote for Lauren Moroder’s poster, go to http://www.actstudent.org/postercontest/index.html and vote for Entry #6. The contest will run from 9:00am CDT on March 17th until 9:00am CDT on March 31st.
