The Packers Behind Enemy Lines

Here's The Skinny From Minny

By Lance Allan

While interviewing LB Desmond Bishop in the lobby of the team hotel, I asked him about getting heat on number 4, and making Brett Favre feel pressure and throw off his back foot.

Bishop dropped this nugget:  We'll have some special stuff for him.  Meaning pressure.  Meaning turnovers.  Meaning this is why you hired Dom Capers and changed to the 3-4 defense.  Bishop smart enough to also say he didn't want to give away the game plan, so I'm curious to see what wrinkles are added in.

When I asked WR James Jones about going back to the old school West Coast Offense with a lot of 3-step drops by Aaron Rodgers and quick slants, he merely smiled and danced around the question.  I think that's a yes.

What would also help, but isn't expected, is a solid running attack.  The Vikings haven't allowed a runner 100 yards for 26 straight games.  The last was....Ryan Grant.

LT Chad Clifton did make the trip.  The Packers still insist he will be a game time decision despite doing very little in practice.
